Blueberry Lemonade!

Today was a city day with some sightseeing and jobs to do before our two day mountain trip. We left Tony at the cottage as he has been suffering with a cold since the flight when the girl behind coughed all the way, so he decided to have a rest day in preparation for our trip.

Our first destination was Olomouc, the main city in this part of the Czech Republic. It has many historic buildings, particularly in the University sector, colourful and ornate. We entered this old part of the city via the gate in the ancient fortifications.

We walked in to the picturesque main square and Marketa directed us to one of her favourite restaurants from when she was a student at the University. We had large bowls of delicious tomato soup and I enjoyed a blueberry lemonade which was most refreshing. Whilst we were here, Tomas decided that today’s blip had to include me so this is his blip.

After lunch we walked the streets of the old town and visited a couple of churches and climbed up to the bell tower in one, then stopped by at the Cathedral where a wedding party was just issuing from the Church for photographs.

Then it was time to head out to the shopping mall for sandals for Tomas before returning to Loucna.
