Ringed Plover

It's the time of year when The Mate and i go to see our accountant over on the coast. This is habitually followed up with a walk on the beach and fish and chips in Allonby.

I set off down the beach with only the 17 - 40mm lens as I expected to blip a seascape. I spotted the movement of this little bird and went back to the car for my 100 - 40mm lens. Then of course I had no idea where the bird was!

After a few minutes of looking I spotted it again. If you take a look at the Extra image from the 400mm lens you'll see why I was having trouble finding it with the naked eye.
