Bishop Peter Collingridge (d. 1829)

This little guy (15" high) stands guard over the Bishop's Garden inside the walled garden at Cannington near Bridgewater.
The bishop himself is no longer here, having been exhumed and re-buried at Downside Abbey near Bath in 1914.
The information plaque informs us that exhumed means "dug up"!
Just in case we weren't sure.
There are however 7 Benedictine nuns buried in unmarked graves in the garden, with a memorial plaque on the wall.
