Winter Wonderland

We've had snow...lots of snow, turning my afternoon walk into a hike in a winter wonderland. The deer and birds have really gone into mooching mode. I set out a handful of sunflower seeds on the fence rail, and it didn't take a minute for the chickadees, titmice, nuthatches, and a woodpecker to appear.

Watching the wildlife was fun; actually, the whole walk was fun. I didn't go near the sledding hill, but there were lots of families with little kids over there, and, from the shouts and squeals of joy, I could tell they were having fun too. A heavy snowfall gives winter an entirely new look, and crowds of people come outside to enjoy it.

Go here if you want to see what I mean by lots of snow and mooching wildlife.
