Wednesday: Red Admiral Butterfly

Very grey early morning then wind picked up.
Saw the butterfly resting behind the greenhouse, it looks very ragged. Would it have hibernated over winter? Or just been around for a while? Think it’s the first I’ve managed to snap this year.
Short shower of rain around 5pm, then wind picked up again!
Need more rain :-))
