Overgrown

Believe it or not, this is the old road through the village.  In the 1960s the council put a new road in and this one was left to go wild.  It is still used occasionally by tractors and four wheel drive vehicles, but at this time of the year it is a haven for pheasants, rabbits and hedgehogs - and a lot of other smaller wildlife too.  A wonderful selection of wild flowers too, vetches, yellow rattle, buttercups and clover among them.

Thank you to everyone for the owl comments, stars and hearts!   It was just a lucky shot!
