Getting Stuck In

Some lovely light at times today and some real warmth which saw lots of insects active in the garden, including the first Gatekeeper butterflies of the summer.   It was this bee visiting the unusual flowers of the rusty Foxglove, Digitalis ferruginea pollination in progress, that won the day although it was a close call.  I have added an extra shot of Allium sphaerocephalum which has been catching my eye for weeks.  The flowers will soon open but I like it in bud, like this.

Morning odd-jobbing, afternoon with Una, evening in the garden, mostly taking cuttings.
