Lincoln Town Coupe

I caught sight of this behemoth and stopped in admiration.

It is a 1979 Lincoln Town Coupe.
With its 6.6 litre engine, it is capable of about 12 miles per (US) gallon at a time when gas in the US was about $0.86 per (US) gallon.

What a fine example of the art of "over the top" and so much nicer than the little electric mousetraps running around our streets today.
