Silver washed Fritillaries

The day gradually improved and the drizzle stopped, and we set out with Katie for a walk in Brigsteer Park Woods and the bird hide.
The sun came out as we arrived and we found the woods full of butterflies feeder on the bramble flowers. I think the warm spring has brought them along rather better than in previous years.
The silver washed Fritillaries are my favourite, they are so big and glide around in a very exotic way!
