Purple and gold

I had a lovely visitor to my garden today, Faye came and spent three hours! We examined nearly every plant and considered colour and harmony. She is very artistic!
One of the dahlias has opened and I had a cutting for her. She would like cuttings of the salvia and a couple of roses too, although she is limited by only having a courtyard garden herself, having downsized from an enormous barn conversion near Cambridge when her husband fell ill.
It was great to have a knowledgeable plants woman to share the garden with, and I may try some of her ideas, although I’m not sure about firing the Formia!!
