Last Days Of De Buffel ...

A few more days and then the Museum Ship De Buffel leaves from Leuvehaven to the harbor in the heart of the fortress in Hellevoetsluis. The naval vessel was for 33 years in the Leuvehaven in Rotterdam. It attracted at that time more than 3.5 million visitors. But the Maritime Museum has no money to exploit the ship.

On Saturday, January 5 De Buffel will be for the last time open to the public. Then the floating museum goes into dock for a short refurbishment. Also, the roof will be mounted again. Then ship will go to Hellevoetsluis. There it will be moored to the Museum Quay where it will be again accessible for visitors.
