An inflation of Alpacas

What do you call a group of Alpacas? It looks like the proper collective noun is a 'herd' or a 'flock', but I also came across the word 'inflation' which is sometimes used and adds to the exoticism of these delightful creatures! I came across these beautiful beasts in Cowley where they are being bred on a small farm. They are, in fact, Huacaya Alpacas. The couple who breeds them originally had careers in the NHS but they have now become fascinated by the genetics of colour inheritance and drawn particularly to the complexity of grey fleeces. Therefore, they decided to focus their efforts on breeding Grey Alpacas, and apply a scientific approach to improving the quality of their animals. Partly because of the dullness of the day and partly because these Alpacas are all shades of grey I therefore decided to try this blip in mono!
