Truly Blippin' Marvelous

By JohnEdward

The Soldier &

The Cowboy.

What a day. It began with catching up with Le Tour. Julian Alaphillipe back in the Maillot Jaune with a few seconds to spare. What a ride by Thomas De Gendt!

Just had time to stop at the post office on the way to another funeral of a well loved character. Lambert "Doc" Case. Soldier. Cowboy. Musician. And teacher; he built his house; two tours in Viet Nam; sky diver (over a thousand jumps); he played double-bass and banjo with the Spanish choir at church . . . just a brief overview of a full life. There was a gathering of old army comrades, family , friends, and musicians at Foxfire in Alpine this afternoon. Members of the band, Bush Valley Rounders, with whom he played entertained with his favourites.

Extra: Snapping the snappers. Not often I have to choose what to post here . . . especially people.
