The Panorama Route

Day 28 South African Diaries.

And something completely different involving a bit of exercise... 5 viewpoints with walks to them, a 12 hour road trip called the “Panorama Route” above the Blyde River Valley. This was taken at the junction of 2 rivers where a deep gorge and potholes had formed. You can’t really see the depth here as the light contrast was so harsh but it did reflect great shadows on the walls of the gorge. The extra shows the group at the bottom of Lisbon Falls. Scrambling over those rocks while the camera’s 12 second timer was working, was hilarious for the others to watch but it made everyone smile. So now my bag is packed and I shall have a shower in case the water is off in the morning again! Then the long trip home will start. Thank you African Impact and Dumela Lodge, for a great time. And thanks to all you blippers and friends who have followed my journey.
