Dazzling Dubrovnik

Another gloriously hot and sunny day saw us arrive in Dubrovnik......and what a fabulous city it is too!

We had planned to walk the City Walls but it was just too hot! Instead we wandered and explored at our own pace. So much to see, so many fabulous old buildings, side alleyways, with steep flights of stairs, cafes and bars, lots of tourists, but not too many!

My main blip is of the cloister like area, where people were seeking shade, whilst listening to a very talented classical guitarist. I didn't notice the young lady, who is obviously listening intently until I uploaded this image...with her hand on her heart, just lovely.

A couple of extras to give you a flavour of our day.

We treated ourselves to a light lunch with a beer in one of the shady alleyways, before walking around the old Port area, watching the boats coming and going.

Arcadia was anchored about a mile offshore, because we had arrived a day later than planned. This meant t all those going ashore were ferried via Tender (life boats) which was an e perience in itself. They carry around 100 passengers, but compared to Arcadia, we were bobbing around like a cork...;-)

We were back on board in good time, straigt in for a cool shower, then a leisurely wander around the boat....and a coffee, before dressing for dinner.

A couple of days at sea to come before our final port of call.
