Sizzling Sardinia

After a day or so at sea we've arrived in Sardinia's capital Caglieri ...... it is hot, 35 degrees, with heavy skies, making it quite humid.

We were off the boat fairly early to go on our planned Wine Tasting Tour, which was good.
We did drive Round the city and up to a viewing area, which is where I took todays blip.

The older people on our tour found it hard going in the heat, luckily they perked up once we were in the air conditioned bodega, tasting their lovely wines accompanied by pecorino cheese, parma ham and a typical sardinian thin crispy bread, which apparently will keep for weeks on end.

The extra is of their beloved Saint, Francis of Assisi.

We were back onboard Arcadia by 3pm and after a quick shower and change, a leisurely cool down in the coffee shop before going up top for our sail away.

Next and final stop on our way home, Gibraltar.
