We made a little tour across the little plain behind Chania, where we'd been earlier and last January I'd stopped over more or less on this same spot to take a picture then of the snow  and today of the green hills behind Therisso.

Therisso is the village on Crete, close to Chania, from where Elevtherios Venizelos (yes that rebel man from Crete again) started his resistance against the Turks in 1895, who occupied Crete from 1669 (Erdogan claims Crete now again as Turkish!... like he does with many Greek islands and seawaters).

In the extra some cedar trees on our route across a pass onto Therisso; Crete used to have cedar woods all over the island, now they grow only in some areas still
