Tram

Lisbon has a busy network of trams moving around the steepest curviest streets. I imagine they’re 90% used by tourists, much to the chagrin of local commuters who want to get simply from A to B without being buffeted by over-sized cameras.

This was towards the foot of the hill on which sits the Castelo de São Jorge, one of Lisbon’s top attractions. The alleys, stairways and precipitous slopes that surround the foot of the castle are a delight to explore. The staff of the castle were making some sort of strike so we couldn’t get into the grounds themselves.
