Le Grand Tour de Bretagne - Jour 7

Guimiliau, Brittany

Leaving the coast behind us, we headed south, into the heart of Brittany. More cloud about today, but still warm with temperatures reaching 25 degrees, when the sun broke through.

First stop of the day:  St Thégonnec and its magnificent 16th century parish close (a Breton phenomenon: a church with triumphal arch, funerary chapel, and ornately carved cavalry).

Second stop of the day: Guimiliau and its even more impressive parish close and ornate calvary, and an impromptu lunch out that included Kouign Amann, the most yummy cake ever!

Third stop of the day: after driving up into the Monts d’Arrée, Roc Trévezel for far reaching views in all directions.

Fourth stop of the day: Huelgoat, and our campsite for the next two nights, where the swans came to visit us at out pitch, and put on quite a show!

(Seventh backblip, next backblip won’t be for a while as we’ll be staying on Aires. Thank you for your continuing kind words, stars and hearts, in spite of my absence, all very much appreciated. My poor little camera has been dropped yet again (not by me!) and dust specks are now appearing in my photos, and not just when I use the zoom. Prepare for increasingly spotty pics!)
