The 'Gitte Marie'

I thought this was a dinky wee boat. I got chatting to the fellow pictured, and asked him if it had been a fishing vessel. He confirmed that it had been. It was built in Denmark, in 1943. 'Wow,' I said, you are five years older than the paddle steamer, 'Waverley.' The chap was English, not Danish. He and his good lady, and, of course, the 'Gitte Marie,' were waiting to go through the Muirton Locks which is a staircase of four locks, if I'm counting right. ('Gitte' is short for 'Brigitte,' in case you were wondering.) I've put in a couple of extra shots of this lovely wee boat.
