My mother

I took this candid picture of her in the late seventies. I was into B&W developing and printing at the time. She looks quite stern, an expression I can also do very well. She brought me up single handed, out of wedlock, from June, 1954, at a time when this was not the done thing. She had a double LRAM in singing and piano. She went on to suffer awful manic depression, a heavy price to pay for having done nothing wrong.
