Tiny Tuesday - Mystery Seed Pods

I found this bunch of seed pods at the river on Sunday and liked their patterns. There were lots under one of the trees but I’m not sure what that tree is hence the mystery! They’ve opened right up and dropped hundreds of seeds on the desk in my warm office. :o)

Mystery has been solved straight away by Doyley who tells me these are sheoak seed pods!! ;o)
