House martins

Each year the Hampshire Market Town of Ringwood sees the return of swathes of these birds.
They nest under the eaves of buildings in the High Street and beyond.

They are a joy to watch; swooping about catching insects and returning to the nest.

This nest had two chicks, chirping away while the parents did all the work.

I stood in the street leaning against a delivery truck until the driver gently moved me away as he went about his duties.
