Virgin On The Ridiculous

After a yummy breakfast, including churros, we set off in the car to the farthest beaches of Conil.

Here we found the procession at sea of the Virgen del Carmen, as she was transported to and fro amidst a flotilla of little boats.

After all that excitement, we set up camp on the beach below and went for some cooling dips. However, the tide was coming in and after an hour or so the beach was under water! Strangely, people were still arriving in the car park with their chairs and brollies.

So we headed for the other side of town, to the enormous beach of Playas los Bateles. Plenty of sand here, so we stayed until about 7:30 before heading back to the hotel.

An OK dins there, followed by a meander into the old town for some late night shopping and Baileys and now it is definitely bed time - again!
