Grayling

My 40th butterfly species of the year was the Grayling. Its not any old Grayling, I understand its the first record for the county this year. It also happens to be the rarest butterfly in Sussex, extinct in West Sussex since 2000 and on the brink in East Sussex with only one rapidly dwindling colony left.
