Lathyrus Odoratus

Crab and marmalade

First thing this morning I went out to see whether I could find the Flower Crab Spider on my sweet peas that I blipped earlier this week. It was still on the same flower and I was just in time to see it capture a Marmalade Hoverfly. I'm convinced that the spider has changed colour, it now has a very slight pink tinge to its legs while the abdomen is no longer blue-white.

Two that got away today: a Purple Emperor drinking out of a cattle trough and a Kingfisher zipping along the river Ouse.
