Bees Again

It's really windy today, and not particularly warm. The mistress went out without me - Shock Horror!. When she got back she said a few of those naughty words that make me blush, so decided to back out to the garden to do her blip.

Quite challenging to get a bee in focus today as the wind was really blowing the lavender around. 140 images later she got a couple of good ones.

She decided to Triptych as it seemed there were three different types of bees, the big yellow and black striped bumble bee which she loves. Then the yellow honeybee, but she is wondering if the not so yellow bee is the same but younger, or a different species - perhaps the German bee? She is hoping someone might know!

She told me that a year ago up at the lakes, she was sunbathing on the warm stones next to the late and 5 bumble bees landed on her legs and arms. She lay there quite still while they tickled her while everyone else went screaming the heebie jeebies and got back in the car. The mistress coudn't understand what the fuss was!

It's the 1st day of 2013 and the mistress is playing scrabble again with her mother. 13 games played so far, and she lost one this morning too. Probably why she forgot me when she went out!!
