Time

The new kid on the block is about to be unboxed and take over the position of 'camera' from the old guard.

Time moves so fast, as we all say. The Praktica was the 21st birthday present from my parents, with accessories purchased by other members of the family, but feels like only a few years ago. I have the same habit of skipping time when domestic appliances decide to hand in their notice and sulk, only to be reminded by SWMBO that its service has been in excess of a decade so usually does not have any outstanding debt to pay....

The camera was enthusiastically used for a few years photographing Ford Capri's and motorcycle racing, but was consigned to the cupboard on the arrival of my first digital camera and the instant gratification of uploading pictures to a PC. After pulling it out of its hiding place decided to check its current market value using my favourite portal of ebay... appears to be slightly less for all items than the case probably cost originally.....

SWMBO & offsprings vegetating on the sofa watching Doctor Who. With a rare dry day have been painting parts of the Honda MT50 I am trying to restore. Probably will go and join the vegtables now....
