A Queen & a Bee

Hot as Blazes as they say. With the Index of humidity it is close to 110ºF. All of us elders have been sent to our air conditioned rooms with the fan going! We get such warnings broadcast over the radio. So, that's where I went instead of going to the 50% off birdseed sale.
But not before I got my blip in for the day. This is not my largest Queen Ann'e's Lace flower of the season but she's a good size with a working bee on top.
Those big, dinner-plate sized Queens are out in the back garden being guarded by vicious mosquitoes wanting to withdraw my blood. 
Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer weekend-- oh, except for NZ & OZ who are having winter.
