The Tai Tapu Library

The Tai Tapu Library looking very English in a grey afternoon. It was built in 1932 and the Anglican church is next (St Andrews I think?). I'm guessing that the library started off as the vicarage.

The Tai Tapu area was badly damaged in the 2010 September earthquake. I don't know how these stone buildings faired. It's hard to believe that the first large quake was nearly 9 years ago.

Tai Tapu had a reprieve from the rain this afternoon. Meanwhile back at home the persistent drizzle continued.

Today's gratitude: For enduring friendships that can pick up where they left off.
