Beauties & beasties

Spent a while sorting out the garden ..... then decided we had earned a walk!

Had an amble up the road to Pioneer & Beech Wood ........ then wandered a little further up the road & back home.

There were lots of butterflies about again ...... including Red Admiral, Speckled Wood & Ringlet as well as the Gatekeeper & Small White I've blipped ....... also blipped a hoverfly

Top left are a 'bunch' of caterpillars on a nettle ..... think they are moth caterpillars .... but for the life of me I cannot remember which moth ...... does anybody out there know please?


Update: They are Peacock butterfly caterpillars .... thanks to Countryfiles for the identification :-)


Sorry .... no time to catch up as it's getting late ...... just managed to grab a quick half hour to sort today's photos & put up my blip .... will catch up later this week :-)
