Yum

A very special treat at Adam's restaurant in Birmingham of a tasting menu of six courses, all exquisitely presented and fascinating (and delicious) flavour combinations. This was one of the initial snacks, horseradish ice cream with red cabbage jus and drops of olive oil. It was wonderful.

However, I managed to leave my smart outfit at home and only realised as we arrived at D's flat. LH into meltdown, LD to the rescue and a quick trip by the girl contingent to John Lewis and the sale racks ... blimey, I've never bought clothes so rapidly in my life! Male contingent consoled and soothed themselves in a pub.  All a bit flustering but now I'm presentable for the next 20 years with two outfits :-)
