Tournesols

In honor of the Tour de France. These came from our garden. There are no fields of them here but we do have some pretty fit cyclists toiling up the road to Hood Mountain Regional Park past our modest display..

A trip to the dentist netted me a second cavity and filling and a hefty bill. I discussed dental insurance with the receptionist and she said the same thing our old dentist said: private insurance isn’t worth it. I wonder, now that all our old fillings seem to be falling apart and our teeth with them if that might not be the case anymore....

I also had a conversation with Sharon, the assistant whose house burned down about their process. They thought it might be their chance to move away from a busy road, but they have been looking for almost two years and haven’t found anything that didn’t need a lot of work. They speculate that houses that have been rented since the fires are starting to come on the market as people move into their rebuilt homes.

They’ve decided to rebuild after all. They’ll still be on a busy road but they’ll
Have a brand new home.

Everybody has their own time line during this process. No matter what they decide, it’s never easy.
