sorry to state the obvious, but it's hot!! hot and steamy day in essex so not looking forward to the next couple of days when it's supposed to be hotter still - praise be for shady spots and a breeze!

Tried to be productive today so we did get out early and donate the 40 books I cleared from my shelves over the weekend (being grumpy and tired did help my decluttering process!) so we made a charity shop in Leigh very happy!  Shame those spaces look to be filled up already - I need to be tired and grumpy again for another clearout!

Found a shady spot to read in this afternoon in the garden and then played chase the ringlet butterfly round the garden hoping to get a good pic! He headed for the shade too - very sensible!

now for ice-cream.....
