It had to go!

Not all of it had to go I'm pleased to say but the Loquat was in danger of taking over the area around the climbing frame. Well it has been there since we moved in nearly 23 years ago.
I've told you the story of it before so in summary, it was a few seeds that I brought back from Beruit after finding the large brown pips in the orange coloured fruit in the bowl in my hotel room.
My father germinated them in his greenhouse and this one survived.
We don't get fruit as there are no others around to pollenate the tiny, insignificant, flowers but the tree has an emotional reason for me not cutting it down.
Lovely hot day for gardening, I love this hot weather but I know it doesn't suit some. Jonty really is not happy with it!
