Limestone Pavement

What a hot and sticky day.  It was not as hot as in the SE but the humidity was very high and we had some thundery showers during the afternoon.

The picture shows a section of limestone pavement just a few minutes walk from our house on Hampsfell.  This is a very rare type of habitat and I am very lucky to have some good examples so close by.
