Thursday: Intertidal Life

I had the best night's sleep that I've had on this trip.  Fortified by that, we left our floating lodge this morning for the last day of our adventure.  Before we left, Joe gave us a good overview on the map of all the places we had been - it actually made sense to do it as this stage as we had much more context.

We had a final stop at the Haida village of Tanu where we all had lunch, then lay on the moss looking up at the sky.  It was then back to base camp - it felt a little odd all separating off our different ways after four solid days together in a tiny boat.

The separation didn't last long as we met up for dinner at 'Dick's Wok Inn' in Sandspit.  It's billed as the best Chinese in town.  Actually, it's the only Chinese in town.  And it's one of only two restaurants in town........

Extras:
i) Guide Joe, posing with a bear skull
ii) Scenery
iii) Sea urchin which, I will confess, was later consumed by us
iv) More scenery
