Friday: Old Masset

The boat trip part of our holiday is over but not the rest of it.  Today we decamped from Sandspit to embark on the next portion.  We needed to head over to Queen Charlotte on the ferry to pick up our hire car.  Barry and Carol, who were on our trip this week, were kind enough to give us a lift over, going so far as to take us from door to door.

We picked up the car and then embarked on exploring.  The island isn't large and there are only a few roads but there are plenty of trails to explore. We drove up to the northern part of the island, Masset, and also had a look at Old Masset - which is very indigenous.

We stayed at a lovely B and B, run by an artist with excellent taste.  We were slightly wary as there some reviews that suggested she could be a little feisty.........

Great dinner at 'Haida House'.
