U.S.A Holiday - Day 11

Our last full day, a melancholy kind of day, when you are on a ‘normal’ holiday there comes that point when it’s time for home and the day-to-day things you are used to and miss. When you are having a long haul holiday that includes visiting with family that you haven’t seen for some years the leaving is a bit more of a wrench.
And so it has proved today as we whipped around buying some of the things we have been asked to bring back, not all, at £64 per suitcase or £150 for each overweight case Clare and I are a little more wary than we used to be.
However before shopping I had wanted to stop off and look the plaque made up of four painted tiles manufactured at the ‘Mudshack’, it looks fantastic, the motto;
“Pro Deo - Pro Patria” is For God - For Country.
Following our shopping trip todays lunch was Hawaiian and thoroughly enjoyable. Last postcards stamped and posted it was back to Janet & John’s to just relax and be in each other’s company.
A home cooked pulled pork dinner before a couple of TV movies.
Checked in on line, suitcases paid for, ready to go :-(
