Hover

Who had a hair appointment on the hottest day of the year!! Once I got back home it was a quick change into shorts and flaking out on the sofa. 

I really didn't think about a photo until early evening. This was taken at 6.45pm.

The insects don't seem to suffer when it's this hot. They just get on with the search for food. This distinctive hoverfly was a fair size.
