The Lozarithm Lens

Calne (Thursday 25th July 2019)

I've finally managed to break my run of consecutive blips after sixty-four days by abstaining from blipping on Wednesday when I took no pictures. Perhaps a protest at the new incumbent at number 10, perhaps because a day of socialising meant not producing my camera, perhaps because it was just too hot to think about photography after lunch at the Black Horse in Cherhill with Refna, R. (who used to live three doors away with Fluffy) and A., both on their way from Leeds to Womad.

These poppy heads were in the Town Gardens on Thursday, the hottest day in the UK since records began. It was another day of decorating at the Old Forge until it became too hot to work.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Beatles - While My Guitar Gently Weeps (recorded 25 July 1968, Studio 2, Abbey Road)
This is the acoustic demo that George Harrison recorded while making the white album, before getting Eric Clapton in to help out on the full band version, fifty-one years ago this day. It first appeared on Anthology 3, but the distorted vocal has been cleaned up and strings orchestrated by George Martin were added for the version heard in the Love project, heard here.
