Morning Sky

Loved this view out of the little window beside my bed this morning, the sky looked so fresh. Quite a cool day, actually, never got above about 28°C, haven't used the air con at all.

You can see the half painted gate bottom right, and the fresh painted gate posts, the channel dug up the Land for the pipes and wires, the pump house under the almond/plum trees, the olives marking the boundary, the two leucenas, and the piles of brush we're not allowed to burn. The green fuzz behind the leucena on the left are anise, which haven't recovered after having sheep nibble them as we've had no rain since then. Oh, and the chimney for our wood fire, not used that either!

Mike's been working steadily, bricklaying to raise the roof. He persuaded me up there (the ladder is not the safest) to discuss windows. It would be wonderful to have a small lookout up there, you'd see the town (east), the Lake (north), the Castle (south) and the Chapel (west). But a lot more work, I know...

Gratefuls:
- a break from the heat, seems it's gone north!
- watching the Iberian magpies bathing noisily in the bath
- putting chorizo in our lunch, as no vegetarian in the house anymore

Now, going to wander into town to deliver photos and get more signatures for the petition to the Bishop to allow our Padre to stay a bit longer... (organised by Ermelinda)
