Limekilns Farewell

What a great place to waken up - the air was warm as we sat out with a cup of tea and previously provisioned pastries. And we were joined by the Commodore of the FCC who yapped awhile. And a while longer. Eventually we tired of his yap and enlisted his help in giving us a push off. Once we were out the harbour we picked up their visitors’ mooring buoy, and there we continued our breakfast.
So typically, the wind had come round to the east, necessitating a series of tacks to get through the narrows at the bridges, which we did as well as a well oiled machine. And a long final tack took us right to the harbour as the wind strengthened. Three hours on the nail; not bad at all.
Later, out to Six by Nico (via Bramble) with an almost expired dinner voucher I received last year. Thai Street food was their current theme and I’ve got to say it was pretty decent. No idea how they do six courses for £29; that left a problem of course of how to top it up to the value of the voucher. Which I’m pleased to report I managed with unerring accuracy.
