Sea Cloud II

14.3C with cloud and occasional very light rain. Light WNW/W breeze.

After lunch Fergus and I went for a walk. Well, we tried. There was some sort of pro Scottish independence march on and they were blocking most of the pavements round by the harbour as they made their way to their gathering point. If there were any of the rich Americans from Sea Cloud II around town they must have wondered if they had wandered into a zombie movie.

We walked round to the harbour then went back round the esplanade to Dalintober to escape most of them. Those who would at least get out of the way on the pavements anyway. Their vehicles, parked along the esplanade, were mostly fit for the scrapyard and most of the people looked like a bunch of homeless and tramps. Never have I seen a better argument for having to sit an exam before you get the right to vote.

Later they marched down Longrow shouting and bawling like Saturday night drunks with megaphones.
"What do we want" ...  "Independence" I just wanted peace and quiet.
"When do we want it" ... "Now" Well, certainly the peace and quiet !
If that was democracy in action, heaven help us!
