The wolf rises!

A day spent mostly on our stall at Warwick Folk Festival, though we didn’t hurry to set up this morning in the pouring rain.

Went over to the outside stage to watch the French side Compagnie Galouche dance in the rain - they perform the Spring ritual of the killing of the wolf (apparently the wolf symbolises a hard winter).

The rain cleared in time for the Morris procession in the afternoon, so I went in to Warwick to watch. Took a photo or two (246 to be honest...) of Morris dancers, and was was surprised at one point to turn round to find the wolf’s head resting on my shoulder! Bought a few provisions, then back to the stall - with a few detours on the way to watch a bit more Morris dancing...
