EJ arrived at 6am to take us to Gatwick for an 8.50am flight. S&S were meeting us there as they dropped the dogs at Fred & Paula’s. I’m not a Gatwick fan as it’s expensive on the train and they don’t start early enough, and I worry that the M25 will have holds ups. It was fairly clear this morning with some roadworks and my heart rate was noticeably higher. We were quickly through security and met S&S in Jamie’s for breakfast.
By midday we were in Faro in lovely sunshine picking up a hire car. We’re staying for 5 days in a villa belonging to a governor at Sam’s school. There are 10 of us, family, and Frances and Lee. Frances is 8mths pregnant and huge, so fingers crossed we don’t have any dramas.
Of course we had a BBQ and lots of laughter and giddiness on our first evening.
