Day 6 South Islay 55km

After a super breakfast, we were packed up and ready to go, first stop the American monument out in the South East. It’s to commemorate the allied fallen soldiers in 1918.
It was really gusty up on the cliffs.
Next stop, Laphroaig distillery, with a welcome dram. A very nice shop with tea and coffee.
Then decided to do the Ardbeg distillery tour. Very interesting, using very old methods and machinery.
After this, a quick look at the Lagavullin distillery, then the cycle north to the Bridgend Hotel.
55km and 550m of ascent, lots of ups and downs.
