Le Grand Tour de Bretagne - Jour 16

Auray, Brittany

Starting to warm up again, the sun reappeared and temperatures crept up to 25 degrees.

An early start to the day so that we could pick up the best bargains at an enormous Brocante, 350 stalls, just a stone’s throw from our campsite in Locmariaquer. Just as well it wasn’t far to walk back to camp, as after three hours we returned with two antique glass soda syphons, an antique peach-collecting trug, an antique workman’s leather satchel, an antique perfume bottle, two antique copper saucepans, a vast antique copper jam cauldron, an antique copper fish poaching pan, an assortment of 18 vintage glasses, plus other assorted bits and bobs! (extra 1)

As a result of our extensive shopping adventures, we sadly didn’t have long to explore the lovely town of Auray (I shall definitely return!), though M still managed to buy another copper pan and I picked up a vintage candlestick! (extra 2)

Then from Auray it was on to Vannes and our camp for the night, a disappointing visit in all respects (I shall definitely not return!). (extra 3)

(Backblip. Now back home and doing my best to catch up with Blip, and the washing!)
