Rant Alert

The sort of Saturday where a scuttle out to fetch the papers satisfies your need to step outdoors. Afternoon and we watched The Great Hack, which is predictably fabulously put together, given the resources at Netflix’s disposal. But are we so easily manipulated - or is it influenced, by political advertising? Certainly, those pumping money into online advertising for political ends seem convinced enough. And the huge disparities of wealth then come into play. Worrying enough, as if there isn’t enough to worry about.
Twitter seems to be foaming over with shouting angry men (and not just because Hearts lost to East Fife) but one of the most repellent tweets I saw actually came from a left wing woman, Kerry-Anne Mendoza, editor of the Corbyn supporting Canary which lambasted Johnson’s "racist, sexist, homophobic" government, which included... (wait for it)... "turncoats of colour." That’s right, only honkies get political freedom.
But hey, did you see that chipper at Newhaven on "Remarkable Places to Eat"? Is it really better than the Jubilee? We need to know... a booking has been secured!
