Roman Catholic Church at Morar

Part of the Catholic Diocese of Argyll and the Isles, this church is in the Arisaig and Morar Missions.  It's on the banks of Loch Morar, halfway between Arisaig and Mallaig and is sturdy church and presbytery in a beautiful setting – see the Extras for a slant shot and for one facing east along Loch Morar.

All three churches in this combined parish are lovely, putting the post-Reformation Catholic churches in England to shame.  I hadn't realised before today that there were decent buildings for the Catholic Dioceses in Scotland, thinking them all to be the "Wee Free" denominations.

So here I am in the land of my ancestors, the MacDonalds, finding that my chosen religion is not foreign to that land.
